Class Descriptions:
Pilates
Beginnning Pilates Mat: Strengthen, stretch, and tone your whole being while gaining flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination. Friendly, non-intimidating atmosphere in which to build the foundation of your Pilates practice.
Glutes & Abs: Tune in and tone your trouble spots. This class focuses on the abdominals and glutes, while lengthening and strengthening the entire body.
Int./Adv. Pilates: Fast-paced mat work for students looking to take their Pilates practice to the next level.
Int. Pilates with Props: Mid-level mat work incorporating the challenge and fun of props. Use balls, magic circles, foam rollers and more to increase the great effects of Pilates mat work.
Pilates Express: Join a group of four to eight students for an efficient, kick-butt workout on the Pilates equipment. Perfect for the working professional or those rushed for time.
Quartet: Join a group of four students and one instructor for a challenging workout on the Pilates equipment.
Core & Strength Classes
Cardio Ball: Have a ball! Class uses large stability balls to elevate heartrate and build core strength and flexibility.
TRX® Suspension Training®: TRX Suspension devices, voted Best New Fitness Gear by Men's Health, use your body's own weight, long webbing with handles and a solid attachment point to build strength, power, mobility, flexibility and balance. Classes will combine a cardiovascular element with exercises for total body training. Great cross-training for any sport. All levels welcome.
Floor Barre Core: Ballet barre work is done on the floor, taking pressure and stress off of the feet. Correct your alignment, build full-body strength and elongate your muscles. Incorporates toning for upper body and exercises for the a stronger core.
Kickboxing: Get going! Mix-up your regular routine with this cardiovascular class that will challenge your strength, coordination and flexibility. A full body workout that burns calories and leads you to a leaner body and refocused mind.
GYROTONIC®
Employs movements from swimming, yoga, gymnastics, and tai chi. Improves muscle flexibility and strength, general balance and joint mobility. All exercises done on the Gyrotonic Expansion Tower.
Dance for Fitness
NIA: A high-powered, music-driven dance workout. Adaptable for all ages and fitness levels, Nia classes blend dance, martial arts, and healing arts with the goal of total fitness. If you are ready to change your body and your life, come experience NIA.
Rhythm & Flow: Fluid, energizing movement is inspired by traditional African and Brazilian Dance styles and contemporary dance. Afro-Brazilian Dance is integrated with deeply grounding elements of yoga for a fun, creative workout.
Zumba: A fun fusion of Latin music and dance combined to create a dynamic, motivating, and effective fitness system. Hot!
Zumba Toning: Combines the incredible cardio party of Zumba with body-sculpting techniques into one calorie-burning, strength-training class. Instructors use weighted, maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and build strength.
Yoga
Kripalu Yoga Beginning: Serves as a great introduction to yoga. A non-intimidating atmosphere provides a fun opportunity to learn basic postures, breath and relaxation techniques. Find your own limits during this fun, safe, and effective yoga class. Instructor will offer modifications for every posture.
Kripalu Yoga Moderate: A class where Beginning and Intermediate yogis can meet in the middle. Build upon your yoga practice and have some fun together!
Intermediate Yoga: Flowing movements are linked with breath. Build strength, flexibility, and stamina in this heart-centered yoga class. Great for all levels with generally healthy bodies.
Fierce Friday Flow: Step up your Yoga practice and end the week on a strong, fun note! Perfect for a mid-day, lunch break class.
